Job Description
We are looking for several ILS engineers to strengthen Patria's team in defense industry client projects — projects that have a direct impact on society's security and operational capability. In this role, you will ensure the functionality and availability of complex systems throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with Patria's experts on requirements analysis, maintenance planning, and lifecycle cost analysis. You do not need to know everything — it is more important to have the ability and courage to ask the right questions, identify risks early, and ensure that systems meet their requirements throughout their lifecycle. In this role, your impact will be visible in the success of demanding and meaningful projects. Main responsibilities - Participate in LSA analyses (FMECA, MTA, LORA, LCC) to ensure system maintainability and cost-effectiveness throughout the lifecycle - Conduct requirements analysis and documentation based on customer needs and monitor their implementation as the project progresses - Be involved in integrating LSA results into technical documentation and maintenance plans in collaboration with the customer and suppliers - Define and balance requirements with suppliers and internal experts - Ensure requirements are met during the project lifecycle - Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders. Skills and experience - Suitable technical university degree (Engineer AMK/YAMK or DI) - Experience in ILS or system design tasks in demanding technical projects - Experience in requirements definition or technical project management in systems with high availability and reliability requirements - Self-motivated and proactive — able to work independently but also naturally in a team - Structured and systematic approach to technical problems - Fluent Finnish language skills — daily work is conducted in Finnish. Good command of English is also important. Valuable additional skills - Knowledge of ILS specifications such as S1000D (technical documentation), S2000M (material management), or S3000L (logistics support analysis) is an advantage - Knowledge of Systems Engineering methods and standards (ISO/IEC 15288 or 29110) - Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated environments - Understanding that the value of a system is measured over its entire lifecycle — not just at procurement - Basic skills in Excel, as every lifecycle in the ILS world begins and ends with a spreadsheet - However, you do not need to know everything — the most important thing is to be willing to ask and challenge. Why should you join us? - Impactful role in projects: You will work on meaningful and socially important projects - Community of experts around you: Work with skilled colleagues and receive support from top experts in various technological fields - Opportunities for growth: We offer opportunities to develop as an ILS specialist and expand your skills in demanding projects. The salary range for the position is quite broad, as we are ready to hire both early-career professionals and more experienced experts. Our main goal is to find the right skills and fit for the role, and to ensure that the role and salary match. During the initial phase of the assignment, work will be full-time at the customer's premises in Hämeenlinna or at Etteplan's Hämeenlinna office. Once the role is established, it is possible to switch to a hybrid model, where working days are at the customer's premises or at Etteplan's office. The working model will be agreed upon individually. Candidates selected for the position will undergo security clearance and drug testing. We process applications during the application period and make decisions as suitable candidates are found, possibly before the deadline. Therefore, we hope to hear from you as soon as possible.
