South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a job coach for a permanent position at the Activity Center Savoset Mikkeli starting from 8 June 2026 or as agreed. The Activity Center Savoset in Mikkeli provides work activities for people with intellectual disabilities. The main task of the job coach is to guide and coordinate the work of our clients at the activity center and in outdoor work outside the facility, together with other job coaches. We are looking for a proactive and initiative-taking individual who is not afraid of challenges, enjoys working with different people, and is willing to learn new things. The applicant should be ready to approach work with a positive attitude, responsibility, and a development-oriented mindset. Good social skills and fluent written communication skills are required. Qualifications for the position include a suitable basic degree in social and health care and registration in the Valvira professional register. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or other special groups, as well as previous experience in kitchen and institutional care tasks, are considered an advantage. The job coach must have medication management skills and a hygiene passport, which can be obtained at the start of employment if not already available. A B driver's license is essential. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is required for performing the duties. A six (6) month trial period applies. An acceptable criminal record extract must be presented before starting work if working with persons with disabilities for over 3 months (Control Act 741/2023 §28).
