Your role and responsibilities include leading the Energy Segment within the Market Development team in ABB Marine Propulsion from a global perspective. You will build and maintain long-term relationships with customer stakeholders, open doors to new opportunities, and drive segment-specific market development. The ideal candidate combines a holistic understanding of sales activities and processes in the maritime industry within propulsion sales, deep segment knowledge, and a sharp commercial mindset, capable of structuring competitive yet profitable proposals and navigating complex requirements. The work model for the role is: hybrid, #LIhybrid. Job reporting to: Head of Market Development. You will be mainly accountable for developing and maintaining the Energy Segment for ABB Marine Propulsion, building long-term relationships with ship owners, designers, and consultants to promote ABB Marine propulsion solutions within the segment, identifying and driving the development of market and sales opportunities, developing and executing sound sales strategies that expand our client base and extend global reach, staying tuned about market trends, providing optimal solutions, and representing ABB in trade events. Managing administrative procedures in sales processes. Our team supports each other, collaborates, and never stops learning. Qualifications include 5+ years of experience within sales in the maritime industry, ideally with a personal network. Knowledge and experience in propulsion systems are valued. A degree in engineering/mechanical engineering is required. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to build and execute a sales/marketing strategy, increase market share, grow revenue, and travel internationally are also required.
