Senior Specialist (Export Promotion) - Ruokavirasto - Helsinki, Finland

The primary goal of the position is to facilitate the export opportunities for Finnish food products outside the EU through regulatory actions and international cooperation, ensuring compliance with existing export permits. The responsibilities include promoting the export of food, animal, and plant-derived products to non-EU countries, providing related advice and guidance. The role involves official tasks related to maintaining export rights, facilitating market entry for new products, and clarifying export requirements. The holder of the position is responsible for national and international cooperation with authorities, overseeing food safety authorities, planning and conducting export audits and inspections as needed, clarifying export permit conditions, providing related advice and guidance, and developing stakeholder and customer relationships. Additional tasks include training and public speaking in Finnish and English, media collaboration related to the duties of the unit, and maintaining and developing animal disease preparedness for export. The position requires readiness to travel within Finland and abroad if necessary. The role involves acting as a responsible person or expert in internal and external working groups and teams within the Food Agency.
