Job Description

Cohesive is seeking a Consultant II, Maximo with 2–5 years of hands-on experience working with IBM Maximo to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience contributing to or owning key deliverables on IBM Maximo projects. Depending on your background and expertise, you will lead functional or technical workshops, collaborate closely with clients and project teams, analyze current-state processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and design solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. Reporting to the Manager, Services, you will work closely with project teams, independently deliver assigned workstreams, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Responsibilities: Functional Consultant Focus: Leading and facilitating requirements-gathering workshops with business stakeholders. Documenting current-state and future-state business processes, including process flows and functional design specifications. Collaborating with clients and senior project team members to analyze business challenges and identify solution opportunities. Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills through research, analysis, and presentation of findings. Developing test scenarios and detailed test scripts, facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT), and triaging defects. Creating training materials, quick reference guides, and delivering end-user training sessions. Supporting Maximo functional areas including Asset Management, Work Management, Procurement, Inventory Management, and industry solutions such as Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Oil & Gas, and Transportation. Technical Consultant Focus: Leading technical workshops and translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications. Troubleshooting technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. Applying software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices throughout project delivery. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior technical resources as needed. Performing Maximo installations, configurations, upgrades, data migrations, and integrations with third-party systems. Developing and supporting reports using BIRT and Eclipse IDE. Identifying opportunities to improve system performance, automation, and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 2–5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite (MAS), including the Manage application. 2–5 years of experience gathering, documenting, and implementing business and user requirements through workshops and stakeholder engagement. Strong understanding of Maximo applications, associated business processes, and solution design principles. Ability to identify solution alternatives, estimate effort for small- to medium-sized initiatives, and recognize project risks and dependencies. Technical Consultant Requirements: Experience working with databases such as DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages. Experience with integrations, data migrations, and technical troubleshooting within enterprise applications. Functional Consultant Requirements: Experience using tools such as JIRA and/or Azure DevOps. Ability to develop detailed business process maps using Visio or similar tools. Experience with Selenium or other automated testing tools is considered an asset. Additional Qualifications: Exceptional customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Other: This position may require some travel to client site, depending on project requirements.
