Payroll and Employment Relations Specialist - Destia Oy - Remote - Global

We are looking for an experienced payroll and employment relations specialist for our personnel services at Helsinki Tripla. In this role, you will ensure your colleagues receive up-to-date support and payroll is smooth. You will be part of an eight-person payroll and employment relations team supporting Destia's business units, managers, and employees throughout the employment lifecycle. Your main responsibilities include payroll processing for hourly and monthly paid employees, payroll accounting, reconciliations, tax authority reports, and other official notifications. You will advise managers and employees on employment matters, interpret labor legislation and collective agreements (infra-TES, construction sector TES, electrical sector TES), and collaborate with managers, HR, finance, and external partners. The position is permanent, starting as agreed during the summer. The office is located in Helsinki, with flexible hybrid work. Success in this role requires at least 5 years of payroll experience, deep knowledge of labor law and collective agreements, excellent system skills (e.g., Mepco Palkat, HRM, time tracking systems), Excel proficiency, high accuracy, customer service skills, problem-solving, good communication skills in Finnish and English, and a solution-oriented attitude.
