As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating group activities. Our unit's meeting structure includes three pedagogical meetings per month, providing opportunities for pedagogical collaboration with other early childhood education teachers. Pedagogical cooperation across groups is also practiced. We offer you support through our mentoring program as you start your career as an early childhood education teacher. With the support of the mentoring group, you will become familiar with Espoo's early childhood education and learn to recognize your strengths and skills. This will also contribute to your professional growth and well-being at work. You will have the chance to discuss the joys and challenges of early career with an experienced mentor and meet other colleagues who are new to the profession. You will be supported by the on-site director, the lead teacher, and other qualified teachers and child caregivers. We promote work well-being through activities such as monthly massages during work hours and regular discussions on developing work well-being. A common development goal for Finnish-speaking early childhood education in Espoo is increasing physical activity. The staff at Pisa has actively and collectively participated in this development. Qualifications: According to the Finnish Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education, including early childhood education teacher training, or a social and health care degree (early childhood education) or an equivalent previous qualification, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social educator (Act 272/2005 and Decree 608/2005). Recent graduates in early childhood education are also considered. We require good communication skills and proficiency in Finnish. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act (6.2 §). The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission. We value the ability to meet children and their parents individually, respectfully, and sensitively. We also appreciate good teamwork skills and enthusiasm for developing our daycare activities. Additionally, we value humor, perseverance, and resourcefulness in everyday situations. Experience in implementing positive pedagogy is also appreciated.
