Job Description
We are seeking a substitute public health nurse for the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia, with the initial placement in student health services in Vaasa. The substitution begins on August 24, 2026, and ends on August 2, 2027. We are looking for a person who is willing to work independently and is interested in working primarily with young people and adults. Student health services provide services to secondary school students. Tasks include health examinations, sick leave appointments, and assessment of care needs. In student health services, the public health nurse works closely with the school's other staff as part of the student welfare team. Qualifications: A licensed public health nurse as defined in the Health Care Professionals Act (559/1994). Good oral and satisfactory written skills in both national languages of Finland. The selected candidate must have valid vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016). Additionally, the candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. A trial period will be applied.
