Early Childhood Education Teacher - Lestijärven kunta - Lestijärvi, Finland

We are seeking an early childhood education teacher for a permanent position starting August 1, 2026. The position is located at Lesti Daycare, which operates in a new and cozy log building in a natural environment by the Lestijärvi lake, in collaboration with the school. The qualification requirement is the eligibility of an early childhood education teacher according to section 26 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). The selection is conditional until the selected candidate has submitted a criminal record extract (Act on Background Checks for Persons Working with Children 504/2002) and an acceptable medical certificate regarding their health within 30 days of being informed of the selection. If qualified applicants are not available, the position will be filled temporarily from August 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Lestijärvi municipality conducts a health check for all new employees whose employment or service relationship lasts longer than six (6) months. The check includes testing for drug and, if necessary, alcohol use. The employment relationship is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. The position requires a health statement regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory system according to section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. Employment terms are based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector (OVTES).
