Job Description
Are you an experienced structural designer who wants to combine project leadership and demanding concrete structure design? Would you like to be responsible for the design entities of projects, leading a team while remaining involved in the design work yourself? We are looking for a structural design project manager for our Vaasa team for versatile design projects. As a structural design project manager, you lead the structural design from the beginning to the end of the projects. You are responsible for the design entity, guide the design group, take care of schedules and resources, and maintain active contact with the customer and other stakeholders. You also participate in the design yourself and ensure that the solutions are technically high-quality and feasible. The job description can be tailored according to your own specialization and interest. Keys to success in the position In the project manager's position, we require at least eight years of experience in the structural design of concrete structures, including project manager responsibilities. Your educational background is suitable from the construction industry (DI / RI / Ins. AMK), and you master both the basics of statics and the dimensioning of load-bearing structures. You use Office tools as well as AutoCAD or Tekla Structures software fluently. Knowledge of RFEM and other industry software is considered an advantage. You have the qualification of a designer of very demanding concrete structures or the prerequisites to apply for the qualification. Since you do a lot of cooperation not only with Sweco colleagues but also with customers, you need good interaction skills and the ability to communicate fluently and clearly in the Finnish language. You operate naturally as part of a team, but you do not shy away from independent tasks either. You take responsibility for your own design work and are not afraid to invent new ways of doing things.
