Job Description

Are you an experienced structural designer who wants to combine project leadership and demanding concrete structure design? Would you like to be responsible for the design entities of projects, leading a team while remaining involved in the design work yourself? We are looking for a structural design project manager for our Vaasa team for versatile design projects. As a structural design project manager, you lead the structural design from the beginning to the end of the projects. You are responsible for the design entity, guide the design group, take care of schedules and resources, and maintain active contact with the customer and other stakeholders. You also participate in the design yourself and ensure that the solutions are technically high-quality and feasible. The job description can be tailored according to your own specialization and interest. It is important to us to enable places for development and growth – you will get projects that correspond to your experience and skill level and offer opportunities to learn new things. We are not afraid to give responsibility and we trust our experts. We work in 28 locations, of which your own office is located in Vaasa. Keys to success in the position In the project manager's position, we require at least eight years of experience in the structural design of concrete structures, including project manager responsibilities. Your educational background is suitable from the construction industry (DI / RI / Ins. AMK), and you master both the basics of statics and the dimensioning of load-bearing structures. You use Office tools as well as AutoCAD or Tekla Structures software fluently. Knowledge of RFEM and other industry software is considered an advantage. You have the qualification of a designer of very demanding concrete structures or the prerequisites to apply for the qualification. Since you do a lot of cooperation not only with Sweco colleagues but also with customers, you need good interaction skills and the ability to communicate fluently and clearly in the Finnish language. You operate naturally as part of a team, but you do not shy away from independent tasks either. You take responsibility for your own design work and are not afraid to invent new ways of doing things. An open attitude and interest in various structural design tasks will help you succeed in your work. What we promise you We understand well that there is certainly demand for an expert like you. We want to convince you that this job opportunity is worth seizing specifically at Sweco. - Transforming society together. At Sweco, you are involved in creating the cities of the future and a more sustainable society – you are really making an impact. - Curious, brave and encouraging work community. You will get to work with experienced architects in a close-knit community where we value, support and encourage each other. - You will certainly not miss out on career and learning opportunities. It is important to us that you can develop and design your own career path. Our own Sweco Academy offers diverse training opportunities. - When things happen in everyday life, we are flexible. Work and other life sometimes require adjustment. - Our versatile and comprehensive personnel benefits are not made up; you influence their content yourself.
