Touhula Vappula is a sports-oriented daycare located near Lohjanjärvi. The Vappula premises host three Touhula groups and three early childhood education groups from the City of Lohja. Your responsibilities as an early childhood education teacher and assistant director: We are looking for a team member who is ready to take a step towards broader responsibility in the role of assistant director. As an assistant director, you will be the key support and assistant to the daycare director in daily operations, pedagogy, and staff management. You will work with your children’s group as an early childhood education teacher and ensure the smooth operation of the daycare even in the director’s absence. Assistant director’s responsibilities: - Leadership support: Assist the director and act as a substitute in daily activities, especially in pedagogical leadership, ensuring continuity and smooth daily operations in the director’s absence. - Quality and planning: Ensure operations align with the company’s models and update important plans as agreed. - Customer relations and marketing: Participate in fulfilling the customer promise, visits to new families, and marketing and communication of the daycare. - Staff resourcing: Assist with shift planning, onboarding, and, if necessary, recruitment and substitute staffing. In addition, as an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for: - Pedagogical leadership: Oversee the daily pedagogy of your team, small group activities, and the creation of diverse and safe learning environments. - Individual support: Plan and evaluate children’s support measures in collaboration with multidisciplinary networks. - Team support: Develop an inclusive feedback culture and support colleagues in pedagogical work by leveraging team strengths. The final salary will depend on years of experience, the number of assistant director allowances based on group size, and any personal salary supplements based on special expertise.
