HUS Diagnostics Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our primary operational area is the specialized healthcare of the HUS consortium and primary healthcare within the well-being areas affiliated with HUS. We also manage laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia well-being areas. We operate across eight medical specialties. We are responsible for several nationally specialized investigations as well as research and education at university hospitals. Diagnostic tests play a central role in confirming, ruling out, treating, and monitoring diseases and screening. Approximately 3,300 laboratory and imaging professionals work at HUS Diagnostics Center across more than 150 locations. We are seeking an Assistant Head Nurse for a permanent position in the Pre-Analytical Department at the Diagnostics Center, covering laboratories in northern Espoo and West Uusimaa. The role includes clinical work as well as administrative tasks and activities related to development of skills and operations. The Assistant Head Nurse works closely with staff, the Head Nurse, and process managers to ensure smooth operations and resource management. The workdays are varied, and the role involves multitasking. The Espoo and West Uusimaa area includes the Leppävaara and Sähkötie units in Espoo, as well as Lohja, Siuntio, Pusula, Karkkila, and Nummela units. The position requires travel between locations. We expect good communication and collaboration skills, initiative, and problem-solving ability. A master's or higher university degree and broad thinking provide a foundation for success.
