The education services are seeking a fixed-term employment contract from 10.08.2026 to 05.06.2027 for a part-time school assistant position at Mäntysalo School. The school assistant's task is to help students in need to manage daily school situations in cooperation with other staff. We seek a person with good communication and interpersonal skills, cooperation and organizational ability, initiative, stress tolerance, good humor, and the ability to work in rapidly changing situations. The work requires continuous presence and commitment. The qualification requirement is a vocational qualification in school guidance and in pre- and after-school activities (formerly school guidance assistant qualification) or an equivalent qualification (e.g., child carer, practical nurse, or youth leader). The selected person must submit a criminal record extract according to law (504/2002). The employment begins with a six-month trial period. Salary and employment conditions are determined according to the municipal general collective agreement (KVTES) and the municipality of Nurmijärvi's assessment of the work's difficulty. The specific salary for full-time work is 2310.93 euros per month in general education. Additional experience-based pay may be granted based on previous work experience. The experience allowance is 3% or 8% of the specific salary, depending on relevant experience. Interested?
