We are now seeking an R&D Specialist to develop and implement measures supporting the employment of internationally educated individuals as part of the International Work Mikkeli (IWM) project (ESR+). Your workplace will be at the Mikkeli campus. The position is fixed-term and full-time. The position begins on 1 September 2026 and ends on 31 May 2029. A probationary period applies to the employment. What is the job about? In this role, you will play a key part in the practical implementation of the project, supporting participants' employment and developing new operational models together with the project manager and project consortium. In the role, you will: - Guide internationally educated individuals towards working life through individual and group coaching - Develop individual employment plans for participants and support their progress along service pathways - Promote matching job seekers with employers through events and corporate collaboration Additionally, you will: - Organize and implement workshops, mentoring, and events - Participate in developing and integrating service models into the International House Mikkeli entity - Collaborate closely with various stakeholders. Your closest colleagues will be the project manager and the project consortium members. The project is led by the City of Mikkeli, with sub-project implementers including South Savo Vocational College Esedu and Mikkeli Development Company Miksei. You will also be part of the Xamk Rejuvenating Working Life research group to promote sustainable future employment. Why should you apply? You should hold a relevant higher university degree. The role requires expertise in guiding international graduates and practical experience in employment-promoting activities. We expect that you: - Have experience in guidance or coaching work, preferably supporting career transitions - Understand the processes of job searching, skill development, and employment - Can work with clients from diverse backgrounds - Have experience in corporate collaboration, networking, and service development Furthermore, good communication and collaboration skills, as well as fluent Finnish and English language skills, are required. Experience in project work and genuine interest and competence in working in an international environment are also valued. How does the application process proceed?
