We are looking for a school assistant for a local school's special class at Puotila Primary School, Klaavuntie site. Students in grades 3-6 study in the class. The special class teacher and the school assistant work as a team for the benefit of the students. Your duties include guiding and supporting students in school work and in the guidance of activities. Puotila Primary School is a local school for 1st-6th graders. There are about 550 students in our school. In addition to children from the own area, language bath students and special students from all over East Helsinki as well as pre-school children from our area's pk Puotila study in the school. Our school is linguistically and culturally diverse. Puotila Primary School and Vartiokylä Upper Secondary School will merge into a single comprehensive school on 1.8.2027. Puotila's parks, manor area and nearby shores also offer great learning environments outside the school. The Klaavuntie school building is located right next to the Puotila metro station. Our other site is located in Marjaniemessä near Itäkeskus (half of grades 1-2). In Puotila, you will receive a comprehensive orientation and continuous mentoring during the school year - you will not be left alone with your work or the students. It is easy to blend into the work community and you will receive support from colleagues and the principal in everyday challenges. We work together for the benefit of our common students. We operate in the school by means of co-teaching. According to the latest personnel survey, we feel, among other things, that we do work that is meaningful and that we receive support from both the supervisor and the work community. Members of our work community know what is expected of them in their work. We want to enable everyone to maintain a sense of control in the middle of everyday life with clear processes and shared leadership. In our work community, it is felt that we help each other and succeed together. Your working time as a school assistant is 26 h/week. Flat rate salary 1632.15€, when the working time is 26 h/week. In addition, the salary includes possible additions according to KVTES. The flat rate salary may change according to expertise and level of responsibility. The total number of hours for the school assistant can be checked once a school year within the school's resources for the school's operating time. Annual holidays are scheduled mainly during school holiday periods. During school holidays, school assistants and special school assistants can also work in the centralized holiday activities of disabled children. Eligibility requirement: The eligibility requirement is a vocational qualification in school guidance and morning and afternoon activity guidance, a vocational qualification as a school assistant or other suitable qualification. In addition, the position requires good oral and written skills in Finnish. The person appointed to the position must submit a criminal record extract concerning themselves as intended by the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). We consider work experience in a special class as an advantage.
