Vocational Instructor, Mechanical and Production Engineering - Ruukin maaseutuoppilaitos - Raahe, Finland

We are seeking a vocational instructor in mechanical and production engineering for the technical sector at Koulutuskeskus Brahe, for a fixed-term employment from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. As a vocational instructor in mechanical and production engineering, you will be responsible for guiding students in their vocational tasks in the school's workshop. The key skills required relate to practical knowledge of CNC and manual machining. Depending on the candidate's expertise, the role may also include other teaching and guidance tasks, as well as participation in the development of teaching in the field of mechanical and production engineering. Work experience in mechanical and production engineering, especially in machining tasks, is considered an advantage. We also value customer service skills and the ability to work with young people. The role corresponds to a team leader in machining tasks. As a vocational instructor, you will be part of the teaching team and have the opportunity to develop teaching, workshop environment, and cooperation with working life. We also encourage obtaining qualifications if you wish to apply for teaching positions later. The qualification requirement for the position is a suitable secondary education degree. A one-month probation period applies at the start of employment. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check related to working with children (504/2002) for review.
