Senior UX/UI Designer at Etteplan; helps shape UX, IA, and Design System across international markets.

Original job description

We at Etteplan believe technology only makes sense when it truly supports people and business processes. We help our clients create and develop IT systems that are stable, scalable and tailored to real user needs. We work closely with business, focusing on simplicity, responsibility and collaborative partnership. We are looking for a person who can step into a complex process, understand how users work, and translate it into a solution that genuinely makes daily tasks easier. It’s important not only how data is presented but also whether the user can quickly find the information they need, understand the situation, and take the right action. This role is for someone who wants to influence not only the appearance of the interface but also information architecture, the way functionality operates, and coherence of the user experience across the product. Why join us? This is a role where you will: develop a business product used by users on international markets; design interfaces for working with large amounts of data and complex processes—from tables and forms to operational views and dashboards; have real influence on information architecture, how functionality behaves, and the user experience; get to know the real ways users work and translate their needs into product solutions; collaborate closely with Product Owners, analysts and development teams; develop and improve the product, balancing user needs, business goals and technical possibilities; work in a team that values independence, collaborative spirit and open feedback; participate in long-term product development. In this role you will be responsible for: understanding how users work through conversations, workshops and analysis of their tasks; identifying user problems and translating complex business processes into clear UX solutions; designing user journeys considering different roles, permissions and exceptional situations; designing and developing UX/UI for a web application – information architecture, navigation, tables, search, filtering, detail views, forms and dashboards; creating user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups; validating designs with users and the team and making changes based on research and usability testing; developing components and patterns in the Design System with regard to consistency, responsiveness, accessibility and different UI states; collaborating with developers during implementation, including clarifying component behavior, error handling and edge cases; verifying implemented solutions against UX/UI assumptions. If you are our missing link, you have: at least 3 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer or in a related role; experience in independently designing complex business applications; designed interfaces containing large data sets and can organize complex tables, filters, forms and information hierarchies; strong knowledge of Figma and comfortable working with components, variants, Auto Layout and interactive prototypes; practical experience with Design Systems – able to use existing patterns and consciously develop them; ability to move from an ill-defined need to a concrete solution by asking the right questions, organizing information and validating assumptions; practical experience conducting user interviews and usability tests and translating findings into design decisions; a good grasp of designing web applications and Responsive Web Design; ability to collaborate with developers, considering technical constraints and library options; able to justify design decisions, discuss trade-offs and constructively work with feedback; able to organize work independently and adapt when all requirements are not yet defined; fluent in English for meetings and project discussions (minimum B2). We also value: experience evolving existing products and improving UX considering user habits and implementation constraints; experience designing multilingual products; experience designing solutions for different user groups, roles and permission levels; practical knowledge of WCAG accessibility; experience designing clear ways to present and visualize large amounts of data. Show us how you work: please share a portfolio or selected UX/UI projects. We are keen to see not only final screens but also the problem you solved, your role and how you arrived at design decisions. We are especially interested in examples where you simplified complex processes, designed data-rich solutions or contributed to evolving an existing product. If your projects are under NDA, you may present them in anonymized form. Send us your CV and portfolio—preferably in English. In the form, please indicate your salary expectations and when you can start. We will assess your application by reviewing your experience, portfolio and how well it matches the role. HR interview (online) will be a partner discussion (about 40–60 minutes) where we talk about your experience, work style, motivation and expectations for the next project. The next recruitment step will be discussed during the first interview; it will be an opportunity for deeper discussion about your experience, approach to design, and project specifics. After completing the process we will provide feedback. You can also visit our website or Facebook to see what’s happening with us!
