
Senior C++ Linux Engineer – Wireless Connectivity
We are looking for a Senior C++ Linux Engineer – Wireless Connectivity to join our Unikie team. In this role, you will work in an international automotive customer project developing and troubleshooting wireless connectivity features. You will focus on application-level software running on Linux, including Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, multithreaded architecture, networking, and communication between software components. You will join a small and experienced remote team where independent working, technical ownership, and proactive communication are essential. What will you do: - Design and develop application-level software using modern C++ on Linux - Develop multithreaded and asynchronous connectivity components - Design safe communication between threads and processes - Work with Wi-Fi, cellular, modem, and Linux networking functionality - Investigate connectivity issues across application, middleware, networking, and lower software layers - Participate in software architecture, implementation, testing, and technical reviews - Collaborate closely with customer engineers and other software teams - Communicate progress, technical decisions, risks, and blockers clearly REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Strong professional experience with modern C++ and Linux - Experience developing application-level or middleware software - Strong understanding of multithreading and concurrency - Experience with synchronization, message passing, IPC, shared state, or event-driven architecture - Linux networking experience, such as TCP/IP, sockets, or network services - Experience with Wi-Fi, cellular, modem, or other wireless-connectivity software - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently in a remote and international team - Good spoken and written English Considered an advantage: - Qualcomm platform or modem-service experience - Wi-Fi management, Netlink, nl80211, D-Bus, or connectivity-manager development - LTE, 4G, or 5G application development - Automotive connectivity, telematics, or infotainment experience - Yocto, QNX, or Android platform experience - C++17 or newer - Experience with asynchronous or event-driven software systems
