Job Description
We are seeking a temporary special education teacher for early childhood education at Inari Daycare from August 10, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The position is located at Inari Daycare. The special education teacher's duties include pedagogical and pre-primary education tasks for a children's group. The teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and developing special pedagogy support for children requiring assistance. Tasks include planning, executing, and developing pedagogical activities in collaboration with team members. The special education teacher acts as an expert in early childhood special education and participates in developing the skills of the entire work community and multidisciplinary cooperation. We value a developmental and solution-oriented work approach and good interaction skills. Experience as a daycare special education teacher is considered an advantage. The qualification requirement for the position is a valid qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018): a qualification as an early childhood education teacher, supplemented with studies providing readiness for special education tasks, as specified by government regulation; or a master's degree in education with a major in special pedagogy (early childhood special education qualification). The average working hours are 38 hours and 15 minutes per week. The current level salary for the position is €3,338.60 per month. Additionally, a 3% Inari bonus, experience allowances, possible other allowances such as Sámi language supplement, and benefits according to OVTES are paid.
