Temporary Primary School Teacher (Health Education and Physical Education) - Kauniaisten kaupunki - Kauniainen, Finland

We are looking for an enthusiastic health education and physical education teacher for our team at Kauniainen Primary School, Kasavuori teaching point (grades 7-9), to support students' learning, growth, and well-being in a fixed-term position from August 7, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The position is filled as a substitute. Student-centered approach and the well-being of all members of the school community, as well as respectful and friendly interaction, are important to us. We aim to support each student's growth, learning, and well-being so that they have strong roots and wings for a good life. Our school's development themes include support for learning and strengthening basic skills, well-being, language, cultural and worldview awareness, and building a sustainable future. The qualification requirement is compliance with the qualification criteria for teaching staff as per Government Decree 986/1998. Original certificates demonstrating qualification must be presented at the possible interview. If no formally qualified applicants are available, the position may be filled through this application process, considering also applicants without formal qualifications. We require excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as strong expertise in the taught subjects. The employment will be subject to a four (4) month probation period. The selected person must present a criminal record extract as per the Criminal Records Act (504/2002) before starting employment. The appointment is conditional until the person has also confirmed in writing their acceptance of the position. Experience and enthusiasm for implementing multidisciplinary learning modules and experience in group-specific support in basic education are considered an advantage.
