Job Description
We are currently seeking 1-2 dental assistants for basic care in fixed-term employment. The Western Uusimaa Welfare Area's oral health care is an active, future-oriented community of oral health professionals. Our operations always focus on the customer, and we perform our work with great heart. Every employee is valuable and an equal member of the work community. We have two primary care clinics in southeastern Espoo, one in Niittykumpu and the other in Haukilahdessa. Our dental clinic in Niittykumpu opened in March 2025 and expanded in January 2026. The modern clinic has 43 treatment rooms, of which 36 belong to the basic care unit and 7 to orthodontics. Instrument sterilization is mostly outsourced. We use the Lifecare patient information system. Staff can dine in the lunch restaurant located in the same building. Niittykumpu dental clinic is accessible by public transport: 350 meters to Niittykumpu metro station, with bus connections along Merituulentie and Länsiväylä. There is a locked space for bicycle storage. Interviews will begin during the application period, and decisions will be made then. Workplace name and address: Niittykummun hammashoitola, Niittyportti 4, 02200 Espoo. Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes per week. The position is fixed-term and lasts until June 8, 2027. The work begins on July 27, 2026, or by agreement. Qualifications: Primarily, a license issued under the Act on Healthcare Professionals 559/1994 is required. A practical nurse degree with a focus on oral health or a dental assistant degree is required. Dental assistant students can also apply for fixed-term positions. Language skills: Good oral skills in either Finnish or Swedish. The role requires vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act, section 48. We also require a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the work of a dental assistant. We hope our employees are motivated to further their education and develop professionally. The initial work area is in Espoo, but may later include other municipalities within the welfare area. The primary workplace is Niittykummun dental clinic, but flexibility to work at other clinics as needed is desired. We value good communication and collaboration skills in our multidisciplinary work environment. We are agents of change. We boldly renew what needs improvement and preserve what works. We invest in the well-being of each employee and want to offer diverse benefits. We provide a meal benefit and a €300 annual allowance for cultural, well-being, sports, or travel benefits. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills through Eduhouse and Oppiportti online training.
