Job Description

Our operations are growing, and we are now seeking a new professional for our enthusiastic and skilled team in the Helsinki metropolitan area! Go Strong's outpatient services are looking for a social counselor for home-based services. Enjoy diverse work in a vibrant community! The outpatient services at Go Strong include various service forms in terms of content and intensity. Our services include family work, professional support person activities, supported housing services, support in the child's and young person's immediate environment, support periods, as well as support and foster family activities. We are currently hiring for positions in family work, professional support person activities, and supported housing services. Your job will be a combination of these services. You have the opportunity to influence your working hours and the content of your work, with hours planned according to your and the clients' schedules. The work is primarily weekday daytime work, with meetings mainly between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Your task is to support children, young people, and families in their own environments. You will also collaborate with the family’s network and represent Go Strong in accordance with our values: positive, goal-oriented, and responsible by example. Basically, everything is possible with us, and the #somethingelse mindset guides us in solving daily challenges and developing our work. The work is independent but not lonely. Communication and collaboration with supervisors and colleagues are active and regular! Our office is located in a well-connected area, right next to Jumbon shopping center. You must have a higher education degree in social and health care and at least two years of experience in social services. We value all previous work experience, especially work with children, young people, and families. The work is mobile, so a driver’s license and a car are a big plus. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is required, and additional language skills and specialized social work training are considered an advantage. We follow the collective agreement for private social services. The salary grade is G26, and your salary will be between €2,978.31 and €3,378.61 per month, depending on your years of experience. Go Strong provides work tools such as a phone and a computer. Applicants must present a criminal record extract issued under section 6, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (for working with children). Interested? Please submit your application soon, and we will contact you! If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to call or email: jussi.vehniainen@gostrong.fi or call 050 5422666.
