Job Description
Would you like to work in a smaller hospital where you know your colleagues? Are you interested in radiology more broadly or perhaps specialized in a particular area? South Savo Welfare Area Eloisa is seeking a radiologist (1 position) for imaging units in Mikkeli and Savonlinna on a permanent basis starting from August 1, 2026, or as agreed. Imaging units are located in hospitals in Savonlinna and Mikkeli (on-call location) and Pieksämäki. You can work at one or more Eloisa imaging locations, but we are currently hiring a specialist doctor primarily working at Mikkeli and Savonlinna hospitals. We have created good incentives for travel between locations, including a compensation of up to 350 euros for work outside the permanent location. Eloisa’s imaging department is small but versatile. We have all key modalities represented, and you are not required to master everything. You can also focus your expertise according to your interests. You can influence your work schedule and working hours, and part-time work is possible. We also offer remote work options, including on-call duties. We have implemented other solutions to lighten on-call duties. Our salary structure is as follows: - Specialist doctor, less than 10 years since specialist qualification: €8,464.63/month - Specialist doctor / demanding tasks, 10 years since specialist qualification: €8,867.13/month In addition, local agreements provide task-based allowances, such as training and on-call compensations, as well as possible experience-based supplements. Eloisa is supportive of continuous professional development. We encourage doctors to develop their skills regularly. Internal meetings support quality training within the organization. Doctors also have opportunities to participate in external and international training. We value our staff and offer various employee benefits related to sports, culture, and well-being. We are happy to assist with practical arrangements, such as housing. If you wish to visit your future workplace and community before making a decision, that is also possible. The qualification requirement for the position is a license or permit to practice medicine as specified in the Health Care Professionals Act 559/94, and a specialist degree in radiology. Good Finnish language skills are also required. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Communicable Diseases Act sections 48 and 55, and a health status report regarding respiratory tuberculosis. The selected candidate must provide a health report before appointment. The employment relationship includes a six (6) month probation period. Applications must be received by the deadline. Applications should be submitted through the Kuntarekry system.
