We are currently seeking a social worker (bachelor's degree) for a full-time position at our cozy and homely children's protection unit, Viinikanmetsän Validia Home. We are looking for a motivated, committed social worker (AMK) who is eager to grow as part of our professional and warm team. Viinikanmetsän Validia Home is a seven-bed specialized children's protection unit, providing a homely, safe, and caring environment for 12-18-year-olds with complex needs. Our strengths include motivating rehabilitation in placed youth and comprehensive family work. In your work, you will be responsible for the daily guidance, upbringing, and care of children, being present in everyday life and supporting them. The work is planned and goal-oriented, based on each child's individual care plan. Individualized interaction and a relationship-based approach are central to our daily routine. We genuinely attend to each child's needs and emotions. You will act as the designated guardian for the children and collaborate closely with their families, social services, and other networks. Successful guardianship can be key to the young person's well-being and future opportunities. The home’s daily life is built around shared activities, cooking, outdoor activities, and communal projects, as well as moments where we practice facing and solving difficult issues together. The work is a journey of growth and learning for children, families, and the team. We especially value neurodiversity, attachment, and trauma understanding, as well as a desire to develop professional skills within the community. Experience in mental health and substance abuse work is an advantage. The work involves three shifts, including on-call duties. It also includes household tasks that are part of everyday life.
