Job Description
We are looking for Personal Care Assistants for family home services for families with children in Western Uusimaa Welfare Area in Espoo, Kirkkonummi, and Kauniainen! In family home services, you will take care of children in our client families and have the opportunity to play and go outdoors with wonderful children. At the same time, you will support the smooth running of families' daily lives and the well-being of parents through your work, helping to prevent and alleviate children's and families' issues at an early stage. We offer flexible work according to your life situation, in families that suit you. Typically, your shifts in a family last 2-4 hours. Work is available on weekdays between 7 am and 9 pm, and on Saturdays between 8 am and 6 pm. You can choose when you want to work! Ideally, you can commit to at least one client family for about 3 months. We are also happy to employ you full-time. If you wish, you can work a shift in two different families on the same day. The work mainly takes place in the clients' homes and surroundings across Espoo, Kirkkonummi, and/or Kauniainen. WE OFFER: €16.36 per hour plus evening and weekend supplements according to the private social services sector collective agreement. We also pay a transition bonus for each transition during your workday if you work in multiple families on the same day. We provide comprehensive, paid orientation and opportunities for regular training and development of your work. Additionally, you will have statutory occupational health care and accident insurance. We also offer first aid training for urgent situations. Your supervisor Anna will support you in your independent work whenever needed. We also have a referral bonus. If you recommend Sivina Hoivanet as a workplace to a friend and the recommendation results in a hire, we will pay you a €50 referral bonus. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: A qualification as a Personal Care Assistant or other suitable social or health sector qualification (childcare worker, nursery nurse, home helper) and professional experience working with children and families. You are proactive and work independently and self-directed. You speak and write good Finnish. PLEASE, NOTE! Good written and spoken skills in Finnish are required for this position! You must also have at least one reference from previous employment working with children and a clean criminal record for working with children. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with section 6, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act. Registration with the National Registry of Professionals maintained by Valvira is required. ADDITIONAL VALUED SKILLS: Experience working with children with special support needs (e.g., neuropsychiatric challenges, autism spectrum disorders).
