Central Savo Building Control is seeking a building inspector for a versatile and responsible position within a knowledgeable work community. The position is permanent, and the work location is in Varkaus. Central Savo Building Control is a joint operation area of five municipalities (Pieksämäki, Varkaus, Leppävirta, Joroinen, Kangasniemi), with Pieksämäki serving as the host municipality. The joint building control authority of Central Savo started operations on January 1, 2026. The work of a building inspector offers varied tasks, independent work, and opportunities to develop your skills within the municipal sector. The qualification requirement for the position is a relevant higher education degree in construction or a construction-related degree in accordance with MRA 108 §. Additional requirements include experience in building design and tasks related to construction work performance. We expect from you: - Good interaction and customer service skills - Ability to work independently and make decisions - Careful and responsible work attitude - Computer skills - Knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field Experience in building control is considered an advantage, as is familiarity with building control systems such as Lupapiste and Trimble Locus Cloud.
