Soil Investigator, Geotechnical Unit - Espoon kaupunki - Espoo, Finland

The soil investigator works in the field operations of the field team. The soil investigator is responsible for implementing the operational concept of the field team and completing related tasks. The soil investigator conducts soil and bedrock investigations, as well as field measurements, surveys, and settlement and groundwater level measurements using modern equipment, as required for construction projects and regional planning. The role requires independent drilling and measurement of field models, rather than always working in pairs. Additionally, the role includes maintenance and storage tasks for drilling and measurement equipment. The Geotechnical Unit of the City Engineering Center handles geotechnical research, planning, and consulting for the City of Espoo, producing soil and bedrock data, conducting field measurements, and maintaining databases. Workplace: City Engineering Center / Geotechnical Unit / Field Team, Teirinsyrjä 4, 02770 Espoo Working hours: 38 hours 15 minutes/week Contract area: TS Municipal Technical Staff's job and employment contract. The position is permanent. Qualifications: Suitable vocational school or professional qualification. Requirements: Ability to work independently, and possession of a safety and work safety card.
