Chief Nurse for Gynecology and Obstetrics - HUS diagnostiikkakeskus - Helsinki, Finland

Would you like to be involved in developing outpatient services for Gynecology and Obstetrics as a nursing director? We are seeking a permanent Chief Nurse for the outpatient services of Gynecology and Obstetrics at HUS. As a Chief Nurse, you will play a central role in implementing the organization's strategic goals and ensuring high-quality, impactful, and customer-oriented operations. Your responsibilities include leading and developing nursing work within the outpatient services of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and overseeing the overall operations together with line managers and the senior chief nurse. The outpatient services include the Women's Clinic at Jorvi, Hyvinkää, Porvoo, Lohja, and the Reproductive Medicine Unit. The Fetal Medicine Center comprises the Fetal Research Unit and Bulevardi fetal screening. As a Chief Nurse, you will supervise four ward managers, with approximately 200 staff members. You will actively participate in planning, developing, and monitoring activities, leading staff by ensuring skill development and appropriate resource allocation. You will be responsible for the quality and financial sustainability of operations and developing processes based on evidence in collaboration with stakeholders. Success in this role requires the ability to understand broad entities and operate systematically and solution-oriented in a changing environment. Innovation, collaboration, interaction skills, and the ability to lead change fairly and purposefully are emphasized. Strong leadership, financial, and personnel management skills, as well as the ability to analyze data, make decisions, and systematically advance development, are necessary. The position begins on August 3, 2026, or as agreed. Interviews will be conducted in week 31. The role follows the Sote agreement's trial period.
