We are looking for two substitute special class teachers for Valkeavuori School in Kaarina, starting from August. The tasks for the upcoming school year are for grades 2 and 3. The longer substitute is from 10.8.2026 to 5.6.2027 (grade 3), and the shorter one from 10.8. to 17.12.2026 (grade 2). Valkeavuori School is a comprehensive school with approximately 840 students located in the center of Kaarina. We started operations in new facilities on the Valkeavuori campus in August 2025. The Valkeavuori daycare and family center are also located in the same building. Additionally, Kaarina High School and the Adult Education Center regularly use the facilities. The sports hall completed in 2022 is connected to the Valkeavuori campus. We expect from you: - Good skills in engaging with students and developing arrangements that support learning, - Experience in multidisciplinary cooperation with various networks, - Interest in promoting student well-being, - Knowledge of legislation and curriculum related to learning support, - Ability and willingness to plan collaboratively and develop individual support together with other special and class teachers, - Solution-oriented and flexible approach to various situations, - Professionalism in addressing issues, - That working together is an important value for you. Children's safety is very important to us in all our activities, and the commitment of employees to protect children's personal integrity and safety is an absolute requirement for the position. Therefore, we will check your criminal background before signing the employment contract (Act on the Criminal Background Check of Persons Working with Children 504/2002). Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. The task-specific salary is according to OVTES, 3,367.93 €/month.
