Our service offering helps customers and partners manage the entire lifecycle of equipment and systems—from commissioning (e.g., installation and startup), through services that extend lifespan (e.g., updates, repairs, and lifecycle extension), to end-of-life processes (e.g., replacement and decommissioning). We are seeking a maintenance technician specialized in transformer maintenance for our Hitachi Energy Service business unit in Vaasa. You will be responsible for maintaining and installing transformers at our factory and at customer sites. The work involves close collaboration with customers and other stakeholders, so excellent customer service attitude is expected. Your responsibilities include maintenance tasks for transformers at our maintenance facilities in Vaasa and maintenance and installation of transformers at customer sites. Your background includes basic education in electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge and skills based on vocational training or extensive experience in high-voltage installations, general skills and practical knowledge of electrical installation, good communication and collaboration skills, with readiness to adapt to changes, determined, responsible, and goal-oriented approach to work, strong motivation to meet customer commitments, basic knowledge of MS Office tools, knowledge of transformer maintenance and welding skills are considered an advantage, fluent Finnish language skills, and good English, Swedish, or other language skills are an advantage.
