The caregiver's home and yard must be suitable for family daycare work. The family daycare provider may also work in the family's own home if agreed. Eligibility requires a professional qualification suitable for family daycare or other relevant education (varhaiskasvatuslaki 540/2018 29 §). Additionally, a 3% Inari supplement, experience-based allowances according to KVTES, possible recruitment bonus, and other benefits such as expense reimbursements are paid. If a qualified employee cannot be recruited, a suitable person may be hired temporarily, and a person committed to apprenticeship training for family daycare may be employed for the duration of the training. Other necessary certificates confirming qualifications will be requested as needed.
