Project Manager Data Center Construction - YIT Oyj - Remote - Global

Are you interested in building responsible and sustainable infrastructure? We are looking for a project manager for data center construction business. As a project manager, you will lead project production and ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of construction sites within the agreed schedule. You will lead safety on site by example and ensure safe execution. You will lead work with a coaching approach, promoting staff engagement, well-being, and skill development. You will act as a supervisor for site personnel and be responsible for resource planning during project production. You will participate in future project bidding and negotiate contracts with clients. You will work closely with site managers and the unit manager and actively participate in developing operations. You have strong collaboration skills and are comfortable engaging in active dialogue with staff, clients, and partners. Our projects mostly involve demanding steel and concrete construction, so deep expertise in steel and/or concrete construction is valued. Familiarity with different project models and contracting rules is important, along with a proactive and innovative approach to construction and a strong understanding of various construction solutions to best serve customer needs. Our data center projects are located across Finland, and we expect you to be actively present at your responsible projects, with travel readiness as needed. Experience in data center construction or large-scale projects, knowledge of construction cost structures and management, project management and leadership skills, and contract knowledge including all contract types are required. Experience with FIDIC contract models, previous experience with production facilities, data centers, or energy plants, and working with international clients and partners are advantageous. Excellent negotiation skills, fluent English, and a strong understanding of industrial customer needs will support success in this role. What can you expect from us?
