A new event and restaurant complex will open in summer 2026. Tarkastamo will rise in Oulu Torinranta in summer 2026 as a modern event and restaurant complex combining experiences, international influences, and northern roots. We are looking for a head chef who wants to be involved in building the entire concept from the ground up, creating practical kitchen procedures, and fostering a strong quality culture. As a head chef, you will strengthen daily kitchen operations and act as the right hand to the kitchen manager. We seek a candidate who enjoys both operational kitchen work and ensuring smooth daily routines through hands-on tasks. Your responsibilities include organizing shifts and daily activities, planning and developing à la carte dishes, brunches, and group menus in collaboration with the kitchen manager, maintaining and updating recipes, and participating in developing kitchen processes. As a head chef, you will lead your team with a relaxed yet professional example towards top performance. The full-time, permanent position can start in May-June, and we offer a competitive salary according to agreement.
