We are looking for a Stone Conservator to join a conservation project! We are seeking a full-time conservator for conservation work during the autumn and winter seasons. The exact duration of the project will be confirmed after the condition assessment of the statues is completed. The work is primarily indoors, in a heated hall in Helsinki. The role involves conservation and restoration of stone statues. You will be responsible for independently conserving and restoring statues for either reinstallation in their original locations or for museum display, depending on their condition. The employment contract will be a fixed-term contract with Henkilöstöliiga. Requirements: - Formal education in stone conservation - Previous professional experience in similar conservation projects, with references or documented evidence - Knowledge of conservation documentation practices, material analysis, and cleaning methods - Expertise in structural reinforcement, patching, and jointing Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
