The duties of a specializing physician include a variety of tasks in neonatology during the training period. This is a fixed-term position, maximum of 2 years or according to the individual's training needs. The training follows the additional training program in neonatology. Successful performance in the role requires good communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. The placement is initially in the neonatal unit at the Women's Clinic building, but the role includes work at other HUS locations as needed. The position involves on-call duties. Qualifications for the position The candidate must have specialist medical qualification in a relevant field and be a licensed doctor or authorized to practice medicine. For the available position, the relevant specialty is pediatrics. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) section 6, subsection 2, for work with children. We require vaccination against infectious diseases for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health status report regarding tuberculosis for healthcare workers. Proficiency in one of the national languages at a good level and in the other at a satisfactory level (language skills level II and IIA) is required.
