Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for new professionals to join Pareto's journey Pareto is a growing software company built around experienced professionals and a sharp focus on what delivers results. We currently have over 50 senior software professionals on our team, and we’re hiring more this year. We’re looking for an experienced backend developer who wants to work on challenging client projects across industries. What will you do? You will work on our clients’ product development, typically as a developer, occasionally as an architect or technical lead when the project calls for it. We deliver full projects and integrate into our clients’ teams. Projects span industries like technology, manufacturing, defense, process industry, energy, logistics, food production, healthcare, and the public sector. The common factor: complex systems with demanding backend requirements where reliability, performance, and clean architecture matter. You’ll have direct influence on client projects, technology choices, and engineering practices. What we expect At least 8 years of experience in software development. You build backend systems that are reliable, maintainable, and designed to last. Interest in AI-assisted development is expected. Experience with tools like Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar is an advantage. We work AI-natively and expect our developers to do the same. Strong experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, or similar. You’re comfortable designing APIs, services, and integrations. Databases, both relational and non-relational, are familiar territory. Experience with cloud platforms, primarily Azure or AWS. Ability to work with clients. You can communicate technical decisions in business terms and adapt to different organizational contexts. High standards for code quality. Maintainability, testability, and DevOps practices are part of how you work every day. What we offer Salary based on your experience: 4500–6500 EUR/month.
