Job Description
We are seeking a visiting childcare worker for a permanent position in the early childhood education services of the municipality of Lempäälä. Your work will also include acting as a rotating childcare worker in the shift care unit. This requires readiness for evening and weekend work as well as occasional solitary work. In this rotating role, you will work with children in different daycare groups and gain diverse experience in Lempäälä's early childhood education. We value a positive, proactive attitude and the ability to meet children and families with respect and genuine care. We hope you are self-directed and possess a flexible and responsible approach to work. Good collaboration and communication skills are expected, along with the ability to work smoothly in teams across different environments. Possession of a personal vehicle is considered an advantage. The focus of our activities is on children and positive pedagogy. We are Finland's first early childhood education municipality to be awarded the 'Notice the Good' recognition! Eligibility requirement: Qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) section 28. Suitable degrees include a basic qualification in education and guidance, social and health care, or other comparable relevant qualification, supplemented with sufficiently extensive studies in child care, education, and teaching. The position is subject to a trial period. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract before starting the position. The Infectious Diseases Act requires screening for tuberculosis transmission risk when working with preschool children. Interviews will be held on June 10, 2026, in the morning at Lempäälä House.
