Job Description
The City of Alavus' Sports Services is seeking a Facility Worker for the Sports and Swimming Hall Kunto-Lutra, starting from August 3, 2026, for a permanent position. The job includes participation in the maintenance of outdoor sports facilities as needed. The extensive renovation of the Sports and Swimming Hall Kunto-Lutra was completed in summer 2023, and operations began in autumn 2023. During the renovation, the water treatment system, building ventilation, and surface materials of the premises were renewed. Sports Services also maintain the Alavus Ice Hall Alavus Arena and several outdoor sports facilities, such as artificial turf fields for pesäpallo, sports fields, skating areas and rinks, as well as illuminated exercise tracks and skiing areas. As a Facility Worker at Kunto-Lutra, you will be responsible for the technical operations of Kunto-Lutra during your shift. Your working hours may also include outdoor sports facilities according to the shift schedule. The work is performed in two shifts from Monday to Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays in the same shift, and every third weekend is a working weekend. The position requires suitable vocational training and experience in similar tasks. An advantage is a qualification as a sports facility maintenance worker or a professional degree in electrical or HVAC engineering. Work is carried out in cooperation with colleagues and customers, so customer service skills, organization, and teamwork are necessary. The employment begins on August 3, 2026, or by agreement. The position is subject to a six (6) month probation period. Salary according to collective agreement. Working hours are 38.25 hours per week.
