The task is to strengthen the financial and strategic management of procurement and develop the procurement processes. Ownership control is a service area within the Vaasa city's administration. The service area is led by the owner control director. Ownership control is responsible for the overall interests of the city group and ensures that the companies and other entities owned wholly or partly by the City of Vaasa operate in accordance with the city's strategy. The owner control service area directs, supervises, and supports the entire city organization and is responsible for the ownership control of subsidiaries. It also manages Vaasa city's procurement activities. As a procurement manager, you are responsible for directing, developing, and coordinating the city's procurement activities. You play a central role in developing the entire procurement system and ensuring the functionality of procurement processes from the entire group’s perspective. Operational competitive bidding is handled by a subsidiary, and your role is to act as the contact person for the client. Your work involves: - Developing procurement activities and related strategic guidelines in cooperation with city sectors - Acting as an expert in procurement and tendering matters - Preparing procurement-related issues for the group section - Supporting sector preparers and guiding staff in procurement issues - Participating in development projects and developing the procurement activities of group companies.
