Job Description
You will conduct experimental and modelling research on hydrogen storage and transport using metal redox cycles. The position emphasizes hands-on work in a 100 kW pilot-scale experimental facility. Your responsibilities include planning, executing, and analysing laboratory- and pilot-scale experiments related to cyclic oxidation and reduction of metals for hydrogen production and storage. You will also contribute to system performance optimisation and the integration of experimental work with modelling and simulation. In addition to experimental work, you will develop dynamic process models using APROS to support system analysis, the interpretation of experimental results, and the evaluation of different operating concepts. The work also involves studying the potential reuse of decommissioned circulating fluidised bed (CFB) boilers for redox-based hydrogen applications. You will analyse and document research results, contribute to scientific publications, and disseminate findings through conference presentations and consortium meetings.
