In basic education in Tampere, approximately 18,500 students are enrolled, supported by a dedicated team of over 2,000 professionals. We are seeking a fixed-term part-time teacher for special class teaching at Annala School in Tampere. Your duties include teaching a special class (grades 4-6) of eight students. The position is filled for the period 4.8.2026-31.7.2027. What kind of skills are we looking for? Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998 (special class teacher qualification). Required teacher qualification; degree, taught subjects (ECTS credits/semester weeks), and pedagogical studies should be specified as detailed as possible. The required qualification must be obtained before the application deadline. In fixed-term positions, applicants who meet the qualification requirements are prioritized; however, applicants without the required qualification may also be considered. We value diverse pedagogical skills and additional training supporting the role, special class teacher qualification, willingness to develop and learn, and good interaction and cooperation skills. The selected candidate must, before starting the position, submit a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002) and the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) section 6, subsection 2. Part of our duties include health status verification under section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act, so a tuberculosis examination related to respiratory health will be reviewed if necessary.
