Job Description
We are looking for a practical nurse for a permanent position at KuntoHelmi. KuntoHelmi is a new type of communal living unit where clients come for short rehabilitation periods with the goal of returning home or to a homely environment at the end of the period. At KuntoHelmi, work is carried out in close cooperation with TuulosHelmi and the Ydin-Häme assessment team. Due to varying client situations, work may also include duties in other home care units. Our unit uses the LifeCare client information system and Hilkka mobile app for client visits. KuntoHelmi has a multidisciplinary team consisting of practical nurses, nurses, and physiotherapists. In this important and responsible role, you support the rehabilitating client's functional capacity and enable living at home according to their individual needs. Home care services assist clients with daily activities they cannot perform independently. The services include medication management and monitoring, health promotion, personal hygiene and nutrition, as well as rehabilitative care to maintain functional ability. This job is suitable for those who enjoy varied workdays and diverse tasks. It is important to us that a rehabilitative approach is close to your heart and that you understand the importance of active rehabilitation in the client's journey towards their own home. Good teamwork skills are also valued, as we work together in a multidisciplinary team where everyone's contribution is significant. You can be an experienced professional or a recent graduate, eager to bring new ideas to the team. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in social and health care or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, registration with the Central Register of Social and Health Care Professionals is required. Participation in medication management requires a valid medication competence license, which can be obtained or updated at the start of employment if necessary. The position involves two-shift work. The work unit is located at Syrjäntaantie 62, 14820 Tuulos. Recruitment interviews may begin during the application period. The salary for this position is €2750.80/month. In addition to the base salary, we pay experience-based supplements, which can be 3% or 8%. The length of service also affects the accrual of holiday days. Salary and other employment conditions are governed by the SOTE agreement. The trial period is six months. Applicants working with the elderly must present a criminal record extract as per the Act on Background Checks of Social and Health Care Professionals (741/2023), section 28.1. In direct patient and client work, vaccination against infectious diseases as required by the Communicable Diseases Act (48 §) and tuberculosis screening as per section 55 are mandatory.
