The City of Porvoo's Linnankoski High School is seeking an adult basic education teacher for the period from August 10, 2026, to June 5, 2027, focusing on immigrant education. Linnankoski High School is located right in the center of Porvoo, in a recently renovated, comfortable school building. The daytime high school has approximately 700 students, and the adult education program has about 150 students. The role involves teaching subjects included in the curriculum for adult basic education, primarily focusing on Finnish as a second language (S2). Qualifications required include certification as an S2 teacher, primary school teacher, or special education teacher. Experience in immigrant education, S2 teaching, and adult education is considered an advantage. Original certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during the potential interview. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract as required by law. The probationary period is half of the employment duration.
