We are currently seeking winders for diverse and demanding special transformer manufacturing tasks at a transformer factory belonging to Hitachi Energy's Transformers business unit in Vaasa. At our company, you will have the opportunity to do meaningful work as part of the global energy transition. Our factory combines long-standing traditions with top expertise in the development and manufacturing of special transformers for demanding applications. In this role, you will have the chance to grow and develop in the production of a key component of the transformer. Our factory produces various winding types tailored for specific purposes using large industrial winding machines. The size of the windings varies from hundreds to thousands of kilograms. Hitachi Energy is investing approximately 180 million USD (about 170 million EUR) in a new production and technology center at the Vikby industrial area in Mustasaari. The center, named Hitachi Energy Park and scheduled to be completed in 2027, will include a state-of-the-art transformer factory, doubling the production and testing capacity of transformers in Finland. It will also feature modern office and testing facilities for professionals in electrical projects, automation, and software development. Your responsibilities include operating winding machines according to drawings and work instructions, installing insulation materials, connecting winding materials using various welding methods, and working as part of a production team. Your background includes experience in manual tasks requiring craftsmanship, good teamwork skills, problem-solving ability, and initiative. You should be willing to work in a three-shift system, have good physical condition and safety-oriented mindset, and a flexible and positive attitude towards work and commitment to the task. Finnish language skills are required. A technical vocational qualification or work experience, and basic computer skills are considered an advantage.
