Job Description

As a practical nurse, you will serve as a primary caregiver for the residents of Kotola and collaborate with team members also on the Tupala side. You will ensure the residents' well-being and care needs are met and participate in medication administration. You are an important part of the multidisciplinary and multicultural work community of both houses. Our work is carried out with a positive attitude, respecting each member of the community. Workplace name and address: Group Home Kotola, Toivonkuja 5, 09120 Karjalohja Working hours: shift work 114 h 45 min / 3 weeks The position is permanent. The requirement is a qualification in practical nursing. The title of practical nurse requires the right to use a protected professional title suitable for the role. The role requires vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act, and tuberculosis screening according to section 55. Candidates will be asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the West Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County's substance abuse program. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by law 741/2023, section 28, concerning work with elderly persons. Additionally, good written and spoken Finnish skills, interest in promoting the well-being of elderly clients, ability to adapt to changing client situations, and flexibility to work in both houses (Kotola and Tupala) during the same shift are required. Valid medication licenses or completion of related training is also necessary. We also value your interest in night shifts and resident activities. We are agents of change.
