The Diagnostics Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main operational area is specialized healthcare within the HUS consortium and primary healthcare in the well-being areas affiliated with HUS. We also manage laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia well-being areas. We operate across eight medical specialties. We are responsible for several nationally specialized tests as well as research and education at university hospitals. Diagnostic tests play a central role in confirming, ruling out, treating, monitoring, and screening for diseases. About 3,300 laboratory and imaging professionals work at the HUS Diagnostics Center across more than 150 locations. We are seeking a laboratory nurse for a permanent position at the Diagnostics Center's Central Uusimaa health center laboratories, primarily at the Nurmijärvi Kirkonkylä laboratory or the Hyvinkää Willan laboratory. Placement at the Loviisa health center laboratory is also possible. As a laboratory nurse in a health center laboratory, you will play an important role in pre-analytical customer and colleague interactions. You will influence the quality and patient safety of sample collection, which is a key goal for us. Our service points serve customers of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Your workday will include customer advice, blood sampling, gynecological sampling, and taking heart films. We emphasize personalized onboarding and maintaining and developing your skills. Depending on your interests, you may also have opportunities to take on various responsibilities beyond basic tasks. We value initiative, activity, flexibility, and good communication skills. The role requires good spoken and written Finnish; Swedish language skills are an advantage. The work requires a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards customer service and, if necessary, mobility between different work sites in the region. You should have good stress tolerance and act professionally in all situations.
