Hello nurse, come join a great group to implement addiction care work! We are looking for five (5) nurses for permanent employment in Drug Treatment Services. Tasks focus on opioid substitution treatment and harm reduction drug treatment work. A nurse's work in Drug Treatment Services includes: - acting as a primary worker for substitution patients (Omatiimi model in use) - emergency patient reception - group guidance and goal-oriented individual work - acting as a nursing expert in a multidisciplinary work group - network work - community care - harm reduction addiction work at health and social advice points (Vinkkarit) Opioid substitution treatment includes, in addition to the implementation of medication therapy, psychosocial support for the patient in forms of individual and community care work. Opioid substitution treatment is implemented in a multidisciplinary team. The nurse is part of a multidisciplinary work group consisting of doctors, nurses, practical nurses, social guides, and experience experts. We hope for a genuine interest in addiction care work and its development. The position requires knowledge of medication therapy; if necessary, the required medication therapy training can be completed at the start of the position. Good interaction and teamwork skills are necessary for success in the position. We value a respectful encounter with the client, previous experience in addiction work, and somatic nursing skills. Previous experience in drug treatment work and the use of Apotti is considered an advantage. You need fluent oral and written Finnish language skills for your work. Currently, the operations of Drug Treatment Services are focused in Myyrmäki, and now we are opening a 'sister unit' in Tikkurila. Although a home unit is named, employees may be temporarily moved to work in another unit if necessary. In Drug Treatment Services, we perform substitution treatment assessments and starts. We have substitution patients both in the substitution treatment unit and at Vinkkari. Central to substitution treatment is the implementation of medication therapy and psychosocial care. Work includes individual discussions according to the care plan and care negotiations with the network as needed. In addition, all employees implement community care. In Drug Treatment Services, we also implement harm-reducing addiction care work at Vinkkari points, which are located in the units' premises. As a nurse, you will be able to participate in this health counseling work, where somatic nursing is emphasized alongside addiction work. As the new unit opens, we also implement substitution treatment on weekends, so shifts will occasionally fall on weekends. You will work as part of an inspiring team where wellbeing, collegial support, and the opportunity for joint reflection in group supervision are central parts of everyday life.
