Occupational Therapist - Vantaan ja Keravan hyvinvointialue - Vantaa, Finland

VAKE is seeking two enthusiastic and collaborative Occupational Therapists for the Children and Youth Reception Services. One position is located at the Vaahteramäki reception ward in Seutula, and the other at the Viertola youth reception ward in Vantaa. The core of the role is assessing the functional capabilities, activity possibilities, and support needs of children and youth. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will highlight the strengths and challenges of the clients and identify rehabilitation needs. This is not a traditional clinic-based role; it is shift work integrated into the daily life of the reception wards, where presence and observation in the clients' daily environment are key to successful assessment. Key responsibilities include assessing functional capabilities, using assessment methods, observing daily life on the ward, group guidance, short-term interventions, collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, gathering health and performance data, network cooperation, and drafting reports. Shifts are primarily morning and evening shifts on weekdays. Applicants should have strong interaction and cooperation skills, the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, and an independent, responsible approach. Experience in child welfare, working with families, assessment work, and mental health or substance abuse work is highly valued. A driver's license and willingness to travel in the capital region are preferred.
