Experience Guides for a New Adventure Service Unit, Rukakeskus Oy - Rukakeskus Oy - Kuusamo, Finland

We are looking for enthusiastic adventure service guides to work during the upcoming winter season, serving both international and domestic customers. Your work will include a variety of nature and program services, such as snowshoeing, electric sled safaris, ice fishing trips, Northern Lights programs, and other winter experiences. Each day is different, and you will have the opportunity to share the best aspects of Ruka's nature with our customers. Your tasks as an adventure service guide include guiding and implementing various adventure services and trips, ensuring customer safety and comfort, sharing information about the local nature, culture, and lifestyle with visitors, preparing and maintaining equipment used during trips, and being part of an enthusiastic and customer-oriented guiding team. We expect from you a positive attitude and genuine desire to work with customers, interest in nature, outdoor activities, and adventure services, good physical condition and readiness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, first aid skills (at least EA2 or equivalent), fluent English skills, and a B driving license. Additional valued skills include education in wilderness, nature, or sports fields, skills in various adventure activities (snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fishing, cycling, etc.), experience in guiding, tourism, or customer service, and other language skills. Your work in the fell area can then include a versatile combination of ski school and adventure service tasks, allowing for broader job responsibilities, more working hours, and the chance to develop into a versatile professional in the tourism and sports industry. Multiple positions are available, some full-time (112.5 hours / 3-week period) and some part-time (approximately 75-90 hours / 3-week period).
