Chief Accountant - Eilakaisla Oy - Remote - Global

We are seeking a chief accountant to work with Verkkokauppa.com Oyj in a permanent full-time position. The role involves managing the accounting of the parent company of the Verkkokauppa.com group, preparing financial statements, and handling tax matters. The candidate will instruct and train internal stakeholders on financial processes, participate in preparing group notes and reconciliations, and serve as the main user of the accounting and fixed asset systems, contributing to their development. The role requires close cooperation with the parent and subsidiary companies, financial experts, controllers, and other business units. Reporting to the group financial manager, the employee will work in a flexible hybrid model, with at least two days a week at the Helsinki office in Jätkäsaari. The ideal candidate has a finance or accounting education, such as a tradenomi, and 3-5 years of experience as a chief accountant, preferably in a listed company environment. They should have a deep understanding of accounting processes, experience with financial systems, and the ability to adapt to changes and meet reporting deadlines. Strong customer orientation, eagerness to learn, and teamwork skills are essential.
